Cedric Titus High School lost their 100 per cent win record in the 2009 ISSA/Pepsi/Digicel daCosta Cup football competition yesterday, when they were surprisingly held to 1-1 draw by Aabuthnott Gallimore in their Zone ‘D’ showdown in Clark’s Town.
Cedric Titus are now second in the group on seven points, while Aabuttnott Gallimore are fourth with four points.
Marcus Garvey, who were inactive yesterday, lead the standings with maximum nine points from three games, while William Knibb, which blanked Ocho Rios 2-0, are third on six points.
In another Zone ‘D’ game, Brown’s Town and York Castle battled to a 0-0 draw.
Over in Zone ‘J’, Dinthill beat Tacky 3-1, McGrath defeated Glengoffe 2-0 while Everton and Charlemont played to a goalless draw.
Over in Zone ‘K’, Annotto Bay whipped Oracabessa 5-0. Two games were rained out, Islington against Brimmervale and Iona against St Mary’s Technical.
The competition will move into its fourth round this afternoon with 24 games including defending champions St James High hosting Maldon.
All games are scheduled to start at 3:30.
