The former Bosnian Serb leader, Radovan Karadzic, has asked for the removal of the Trinidad and Tobago member of the Yugoslav war crimes tribunal.
Mr Karadzic is due to go before the Tribunal on trial next month for genocide and crimes against humanity.
However he does not want 69 year old Trinidad and Tobago judge Melville Baird to be on the panel that will hear his case.
Mr Karadzic is claiming that Mr Baird is too old to be appointed a judge of Trinidad’s highest court and therefore is not eligible to serve at the UN court.
