Allen Stanford to be transferred

A US federal judge has agreed to transfer Allen Stanford to another jail to be closer to his attorneys.
Mr. Stanford is currently being held at the Conroe, Texas jail, about 40 miles north of Houston.
An order by District Judge David Hittner has approved his transfer to the Federal Detention Centre in Houston by October 1.
Mr. Stanford is accused of masterminding a $7 billion fraud scheme.
However, he has denied the charges.
