daCosta Cup Round Up

Annotto Bay High School scored an 8-2 victory over Iona to make it five wins from five starts in Zone ‘K’ of the ISSA/Pepsi/Digicel daCosta Cup competition yesterday.



Also in Zone ‘K’, St Mary High beat Islington 3-1 and St Mary Technical blanked Brimmervale 2-0.



Over in Zone A, many-time champions Cornwall outscored Spot Valley 4-3 at Jarrett Park.



The win moves them to joint first place in the group on 12 points with champions St James High, who were inactive.



In another Zone ‘A’ game, Muschett suffered a setback when they lost 2-1 to Green Pond.



Over in Zone L (a) Fair Prospect and Port Antonio played to a 3-3 draw, while Happy Grove beat Buff Bay 2-0.



Over in Zone L (b) Seafort edged Morant Bay 2-1 and St Thomas Technical defeated Yallahs 4-1.



The competition will continue this afternoon at 3:30 with action in eight of the 12 zones.
