Knox Classic set for Saturday

At least 12 teams have confirmed participation in the inaugural Knox College Basketball Classic to be held at the school’s courts in Spaulding, Clarendon on Saturday, beginning at 9 o’clock in the morning.
Seven of the top teams in rural Jamaica, including 2007 All Island senior champions Belair, will match skills with top Kingston team, St Georges College in the high schools section.
The other confirmed schools are:- Knox College, Muchette High, Munro College, Holmwood Technical, St Elizabeth Technical High School and Manchester High.
G.C. Foster will start favourites in the college section, which also include Brown’s Town Community College, Knox Community College and Moneague.
The Basketball Classic is being staged by the Knox College Sports Committee to promote and improve the sport.
