The death toll from yesterday’s earthquake in the Indonesian island of Sumatra has risen to at least 770.
Officials say the death toll is likely to further rise as almost two thousand 400 people have been injured.
The 7.6 magnitude quake struck close to the city of Padang, the capital of the West Sumatra province.
The earthquake destroyed hospitals, schools and shopping malls, as well as cut power lines and triggered landslides.
Meanwhile a second quake of a 6.8 magnitude struck earlier this morning.
However there are no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
