The Premier League Clubs Association, PLCA, has raised another $45 million worth of sponsorship for the country’s top football competition – the Digicel Premier League.

The financial help comes from health and wellness company, Visalus Sciences, which main office is based in California, USA.

Founder and Chief Marketing Officer of Visalus Sciences, Blake Mallen says the $45 million sponsorship, which comes in cash and kind, represents a three-year deal.

It means that the PLCA will benefit from $15 million in cash and kind each year.

During the 2009 to 2010 season all the clubs will benefit from two products, which costs $12.5 million.

The products are Vi-Shape, a meal replacement shake, to be taken six days per week; and NeuroSmart energy drink to be taken on match days.

In addition, $2.5 million will be shared between the clubs.

The PLCA has now earned over $100 million in sponsorship for the 2009-2010 season, which is now underway.
