Reigning champions Trinidad and Tobago and regional four-day title-holders Jamaica will clash in one of four opening matches in the West Indies Cricket Board President’s Cup One-Day tournament in Guyana on October 28.

T&T, who currently hold both 50-over and Twenty/Twenty regional limited overs titles, will face the Jamaicans in a Zone ‘A’ fixture at the National Stadium in Providence.

The Jamaicans are enjoying a solid year in regional cricket and will be going for a fifth regional cricket title in the 2009 campaign. Jamaica have already won the four-day George Headley/Everton Weekes Trophy, the CLICO Under-15 title and the Under-19 three day and one day titles.

The Windward Islands and Combined Campuses and Colleges are the other Zone ‘A’ teams and Zone ‘B’ comprises Guyana, Barbados, Leeward Islands, and West Indies Under-19s.

Other matches on the opening day will be Windward Islands facing Combined Campuses and Colleges at Everset; Barbados against West Indies Under-19s at Bourda and Guyana paying the Leeward Islands at Enmore.

The other preliminary round dates are October 30 and 31 before the semi-finals on November 2 and November 3, with the final set for November 5.
