St. James High beat Spot Valley

In the ISSA/Pepsi/Digicel daCosta Cup competition, champions St James High scored a hard-fought 1-0 victory over hosts Spot Valley High in their second round fixture to rejoin Cornwall College atop Zone standings.



St James High and Cornwall College are now locked on 18 points.



Over in Zone ‘D’, William Knibb High School ended Marcus Garvey Technical’s unbeaten run with a 2-1 victory at Martha Brae.



As a result of the victory, William Knibb have now joined Marcus Garvey atop the standings with 16 points.



Also in Zone ‘D’, Cedric Titus clipped Ocho Rico 1-0.



Over in Zone ‘J’, Dinthill outscored Glengoffe 3-2, while McGrath and Ewarton ended nil-all.



Over in Zone ‘K’, Annotto Bay blanked St Mary Technical 2-0 and Brimmervale edged Oracabessa 1-0.



In Zone L (a) Fair Prospect and Titchfield ended 1-1, while Port Antonio and Buff Bay battled to a 2-2 draw.



And in Zone L (b) Seafort defeated Yallahs 3-0, while Morant Bay and Paul Bogle played to a 1-1 draw.



The competition continues this afternoon at 3:30 with 17 games.
