The squad was announced yesterday with West Indies opening batsman Chris Gayle appointed captain.

The 18-man squad will be trimmed to 14 just over a week before the scheduled start of the tournament on October 28.

The squad includes one newcomer in batsman Zeniffe Fowler.

Jamaica will open their campaign against reigning champions Trinidad and Tobago on October 28.
