BLP accuse government of suppressing information

The Opposition Barbados Labour Party (BLP) is accusing the government of suppressing the country\'s most recent unemployment data.



According to the party, the figures show a record 6.7 percent level of unemployment in the final days of the Owen Arthur administration.



Opposition leader, Mia Mottley is upset that the new government has still not released the data, which should have been published by mid-February.



Ms. Mottley said that if the data is accurate it would be the lowest level of unemployment ever recorded in Barbados.
