Turbulence blamed for Haiti crash

Uruguay\'s air force says turbulence was the likely cause of a fatal United Nations airplane crash that killed 11 people.

The plane, part of the UN monitoring force in Haiti known as MINUSTAH, was carrying six Uruguayan soldiers and five Jordanians when it slammed into the side of a mountain on Friday.

It had been conducting an inspection mission near Haiti\'s border with the Dominican Republic at the time of the crash.

Officials say the bodies of the six Uruguayan soldiers will be sent home later this week to the South American country.
