Aruban authorities say a small plane carrying drugs crashed off the Dutch island of Bonaire, killing a pilot and a passenger.
According to a Netherlands Antilles Coast Guard official, the single-engine plane caught fire and exploded over the Caribbean Sea late last night, shortly after it took off from Bonaire.
Several bales of drugs were reportedly found floating amid the wreckage.
Authorities did not immediately disclose what the types of drugs were found.
