Lime to sponsor 2010 Carifta Games
Telecommunication Company LIME has signed a contract worth $20 million with North American, Central American and Caribbean Athletics Association, NACA, to sponsor the 2010 CARIFTA Games.
The contract was signed this morning by Errol Miller, Regional Vice President - Corporate Communications of LIME and Neville ‘Teddy’ McCook, President of NACAC
The sponsorship agreement between LIME and NACAC is for one year. However, Miller says talks are already underway for a longer-term contract following next year’s meet.
The sponsorship agreements include a broadcast media package under which the Caribbean Media Corporation will be making coverage of the games available for media outlets across the region.
LIME also plans to support athletes in their preparation for the games by working with NACAC to stage motivational and educational sessions.
In addition athletes participating in the games will receive sports kits containing a range of useful products and gifts from the telecom company.
The CARIFTA Games is usually held during the Easter period.
