Champion Jamaica-bred three-year-old colt BRUCE ON THE LOOSE is in a quality seven-horse field for Saturday’s rich Caribbean Champion Stakes at Santa Rosa Park in Trinidad.

Unbeaten since arriving in Trinidad and Tobago this summer, BRUCE ON THE LOOSE is highly fancied to capture the TT$200,000 Caribbean Champion Stakes and add to his awesome victory in last month’s Republic Bank T&T Derby.

His rivals will include champion eight-year-old racer Chief Commander and the T&T Derby runner-up Mission King.

Miami-based Venezuelan jockey Wilmer Galviz is slated to ride BRUCE ON THE LOOSE and top Barbadian Chris Husbands is booked to partner the Jamaica-bred Mission King, who was beaten 15 lengths into second place by BRUCE ON THE LOOSE in the September 24 Derby.

Completing the field will be the Jamaica-bred Marathon man, Just In Time, Windjammer, and the Jamaica-bred Donut Prince, the 2008 T&T Derby runner-up.
