T&T, Cape Cobras face off today
Caribbean champions Trinidad and Tobago will attempt to qualify for the final of the inaugural Champions League Twenty/Twenty competition in India when they face Cape Cobras in the second semi-final today.
The match is scheduled to start at 9:30 this morning Jamaica time.
T&T are the only undefeated team in the competition.
The little-fancied Caribbean Twenty/Twenty champions have reeled off four superb victories including a stunning four-wicket triumph over New South Wales last Friday.
They have beaten reigning Indian Premier League champions Deccan Chargers and England’s Somerset in Group ‘A’, before marching past New South Wales and the Eagles, both of South Africa, in the Super Eight phase.
The winner will face New South Wales in the final.
The champions will receive US$2.5 million and the runners-up US$1.3 million.
