Bridgeport High became the first team to qualify for the ISSA/Pepsi/Digicel Walker Cup Knockout when they blanked Eltham High 4-0 at the Constant Spring football field earlier this afternoon.

The day’s other quarterfinal match between Jamaica College and St Andrew Technical High School, which was also scheduled for the same venue, was not played because of rain.

Jermaine Morgan put Bridgeport High ahead in the 20th minute and seven minutes later Jamiel Hardware handed the team a 2-0 lead from the penalty spot.

Adoah Nickle, 43rd minute, and Darren Mattocks, 68th minute, scored the other two goals.

Two other quarterfinals will take place tomorrow afternoon with Norman Manley High tackling Waterford High at 1 p.m. and St George’s College playing Excelsior High at 3 p.m.

Those games are also scheduled to take place at Constant Spring field.
