The Italian Olympic Committee is considering swine flu vaccinations for all its athletes going to the Vancouver Games in February.

President of the Italian Olympic Committee Giovanni Petrucci has scheduled an urgent meeting for tomorrow with Italy\'s vice health minister Ferruccio Fazio.

Italy have reported at least six deaths related to swine flu over the past two months.

Italy expect swine flu cases to peak between December and January, with 1.5 million to three million cases.

A vaccination campaign beginning November 15 will immunize up to 40 per cent of Italy\'s 60 million people.

The Gazzetta dello Sport reported today that eight players for lower-division club Lucchese have contracted swine flu.
