Lime to sponsor Jamaica Open

The Jamaica Open golf tournament will attract a $6 million-sponsorship for the next two years.



Each year’s sponsorship will be valued at three million dollars courtesy of telecommunication firm LIME.



The 2009 tournament, which will cost US$100,000 to stage, will take place from December 2 to 5 at the Half Moon Golf Course.



The total prize money is US$70,000 with the winner’s share being 14 thousand US dollars.



Second place will receive US$8,000, third place US$5,500, fourth place US$4,000, fifth place US$3,000 and sixth place US$2,600.



Entry fee is US$500 for professionals and US$250 for amateurs.
