President’s Cup Round Up
Persistent rain has halted play in the West Indies Cricket Board President’s Cup second round match, between Jamaica and Combined Campuses and Colleges at Bourda in Guyana.
Winning the toss and batting, Combined Campuses and Colleges reached 41 for 2 off 12 points, 2 overs before rain halted play at 10:12 a.m.
A hard, steady drizzle has continued to scupper any plans of a restart, with ground officials forced to keep the playing area covered.
West Indies pacer Jerome Taylor has taken both wickets.
Rain has also halted the match between Leeward Islands and West Indies Under 19s at the National Stadium.
Leewards, electing to bat, were 37 without loss when the rain came.
Over at Uitvlugt, wet conditions created by overnight and early morning rain, have delayed the start of the match between defending champions Trinidad and Tobago and Windward Islands.
Over at Albion, Barbados were 220 for 9, after 48 overs against hosts Guyana.
