Jamaica College wins Walker Cup

Jamaica College defeated St George’s College 5-4 on penalties a short while ago to lift the ISSA/Pepsi/Digicel Walker Cup knockout title at Constant Spring field.



It was the first Walker Cup title for Jamaica College after qualifying for the final on nine occasions.



The team had battled to a 2-2 draw after full and extra time.



Kenneth Reeves gave Jamaica College the lead in the 13th minute but McKauley Tullock leveled the scores at 1-all two minutes later.



Ashani Walker made it 2-1 for Jamaica College in the 33rd minute but Marvin Morgan equalized in the 43rd minute to send to game into extra-time.



Meanwhile, the ISSA/Pepsi/Digicel Ben Francis Cup knockout final between Munro College and Glenmuir High will take place at St Elizabeth Technical High School tomorrow afternoon, beginning at 2:45.
