Celtics continue unbeaten start tio NBA season
Paul Pierce scored 27 points as the Boston Celtics continued their unbeaten start to the NBA season with a 97-87 victory over the New Orleans Hornets last night.
Ray Allen, who scored 17, Kevin Garnett, who had 14 and Rajon Rondo, who had 10 assists, supported Pierce.
Chris Paul had 22 points and eight assists for New Orleans, and then had to be held back after the game, when he tried to follow the Celtics off the court to their locker room.
At Miami, Dwayne Wade scored 25 points to push his career total to over ten thousand, while Udonis Haslem had 19 points and 11 rebounds off the bench to lead Miami Heats to a 95-87 victory over Chicago Bulls.
At Los Angeles, Kobe Bryant had 41 points and eight rebounds and Andrew Bynum added 21 points as the Lakers pulled away with 18 consecutive points in the third quarter, for a 118-110 victory over Atlanta Hawks.
Other winners were, Denver Nuggets, Phoenix Suns, Orlando Magics and Portland Trail Blazers.
