Guyana’s Health Minister Dr. Leslie Ramsammy is warning that the dengue fever outbreak in that country is likely to continue spreading due to the carelessness of citizens.

Guyana has recorded one thousand cases of dengue fever so far this year, more than twice the figure for 2008.

The Health Minister is urging citizens to take the necessary precautions to avoid being infected by the mosquito-borne disease since it remains a challenge for the country.
