Guyana beat CCC to qualify for final
Guyana have earned the right to meet reigning champions Trinidad and Tobago, in tomorrow’s final of the WICB President’s Cup, by defeating Combined Campuses and Colleges by 6 wickets in the second day/night semi-final yesterday.
The game was played at the National Stadium at Providence in Guyana.
Set 152 runs to win, Guyana reached the target with 54 balls to spare and 6 wickets in hand.
Shivnarine Chanderpual 50 not out, Ramnaresh Sarwan 35 not out and Narsingh Deonarine 31 scored most runs for Guyana.
Kevin McClean was the most successful bowler for Combined Campuses and Colleges with 2 for 7.
Earlier, Royston Crandon and Davendra Bishoo shared 7 wickets to restrict Combined Campuses and Colleges to 151 off 48 point 3 overs.
Kjorn Ottley top scored for Combined Campuses and College with 26, while Kevin McLean chipped in with 23 and Omar Phillips got 22.
