West Indies Women beat England Women

West Indies Women completed a 40-run victory over England Women in the first One-Day International of their three match series today at Warner Park in St Kitts.



Batting first after winning the toss, West Indies scored 235-5 off their allotted 50 overs and then bowled out England for 195 off 47. 4 overs.



Chadean Nation, 3-22 and Pamela Lavine, 3- 26, took most wickets for West Indies.



Charlotte Edwards top scored for England with 58 while Lydia Greenway got 41 and Nicky Shaw 27.



Cordell Jack led West Indies with an undefeated 81. She was supported by Pamela Lavine with 49, Merissa Aguilleira 32 and Stafanie Taylor 24.



Holly Colvin was the most successful bowler for England with 2- 47.



The second match is scheduled for tomorrow with the final match set for Saturday.



Those matches will also take place at Warner Park.
