England beaten by South Africa ‘A’

England stumbled to their first defeat on the tour of South Africa today when they were beaten by four wickets by South Africa ‘A’ in a Twenty/Twenty match.



England, captained by Paul Collingwood, were bowled out for 89 in 17.3 overs after being put in to bat.



Alastair Cook top scored for England with 22 from 30 balls, while Collingwood hit 18 from 11 balls and Eoin Morgan 11 from 18 balls.



Cornelius de Villiers, Thandi Tshabalala and Justin Ontong picked up two wickets each.



South Africa ‘A’ reached the victory target of 90 off 17.3 overs with the loss of six wickets.



Rilee Rossouw and Vaughn van Jaarsveld both hit 23 to guide their side home.



Graeme Swann and Adil Rashid ended with two wickets each for England.
