Manager says WI Women have gotten respect from the world
West Indies Team Manager, Pat Greenidge believes her side’s trouncing of England in both the one-day and 20/20 series, has gotten the attention of other teams in women’s international cricket.
Greenidge says teams around the world will be focusing on West Indies, now that the Caribbean side has beaten the Number one team in the world in four out of five games.
West Indies pulled off a comfortable 5-wicket win over England in the second 20/20 game at Warner Park in St Kitts yesterday to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three match series.
The victory followed on the heels of a solid 4-wicket win at Warner Park in the first 20/20 International of the series.
On Saturday, West Indies also clinched the three-match One-Day International series when they won the decisive third match by 1 wicket in a thriller at the same venue.
England entered the series as favorites carrying the tag of reigning 50 overs and the 20/20 champions.
