UN wants coordinated approach to hunger

The United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki Moon is calling for a more co-ordinated approach to the problem of hunger.



According to Mr Ban the world\'s poorest countries have been caught in a vicious cycle that threatens millions of lives.



The international organization said over a billion people are going hungry because of soaring food prices.



The UN chief was speaking during today’s session of the food summit in Rome.
