Sri Lanka face fight back against India

Opener, Tillakaratne Dilshan led a strong Sri Lanka reply today with a brisk century on the second day of the first cricket Test against hosts India.



Dilshan made 112 off 133 balls as Sri Lanka progressed to 275 for 3 at the close with Thilan Samaraweera on 45, while former skipper, Mahela Jayawardene was unbeaten on 36.



The visitors trailed by 151 runs after India, who resumed this morning on 385 for 6, were dismissed for 426 in their first innings.



Chanaka Walegedara ended as the most successful bowler for Sri Lanka with 4 for 87 including the wicket of Rahul Dravid for his overnight score of 177.



Off-spinner, Murali Muralitharan chipped in with 3 for 97.
