Paceman Abdur Rauf on fire
Paceman Abdur Rauf took four for 43 as Pakistan dismissed a New Zealand Invitation Eleven for 234 on the first day of a three-day tour match today.
The right-arm fast bowler captured the wickets of former test opener, Craig Cumming for 2, current New Zealand batsman Daniel Flynn for 49, Reece Young for 75 and all-rounder, Tim Southee for 3 during his 14.1 overs.
All-rounder Yasir Arafat took 2 for 21 from 10 overs, opening bowler Mohammad Asif 2 for 60 and leg spinner Danish Kaneria 2 for 102 from 29 overs, as Pakistan dismissed the invitational side in 73.1 overs.
At stumps, Pakistan were 14 for 1 in their first innings. Imran Farhat was 10 not out and Fawad Alam had yet to score.
The first of three tests between New Zealand and Pakistan begins in Dunedin on Tuesday.
