Several members of Grenada\'s opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) are facing civil lawsuits in connection with the alleged beating of a police officer.
The ministers reportedly assaulted the police officer after he was caught spying on a party meeting.
At least nine members of the NDC including two members of the House of Representatives and a Senator are before the court over the allegations.
Opposition Leader, Tillman Thomas confirmed that some of his party members have been served with papers.
However, he said the move to charge the ministers is politically motivated.
