Antigua\'s Attorney General Justin Simon said he does not believe the rejection of the new constitution in St Vincent will prevent other countries from adopting the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ) as their final court of appeal.
One of the provisions in the draft constitution is for the replacement of the British Privy Council by the CCJ as St Vincent\'s final appellate body.
Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves has suggested that other governments may be reluctant to go forward, following the failed referendum in Kingstown.
However, Mr. Simon said the push towards adopting the CCJ will continue.
