Antigua\'s police chief concerned about illegal guns

Antigua\'s Police Chief, Thomas Bennett is expressing concern over the prevalence of illegal guns in that country.



Commissioner Bennett said lawmen have seized about 50 firearms as well as more than 400 rounds of ammunition so far this year.



He said about 19 percent of the entire island\'s major criminal offences involve firearms.



Commissioner Bennett said like most Caribbean countries, Antigua has also experienced an increase in violent crimes.
