Commonwealth talks open

Commonwealth leaders have opened their biennial summit in Trinidad with climate change the only item on the agenda for the first day.
Host Prime Minister Patrick Manning is hoping that the meeting will boost the upcoming climate change summit in Copenhagen next month.
But correspondents say bridging the differences between big emitters of greenhouse gases and small developing countries will be hard to achieve.
UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and French President Nicolas Sarkozy have been invited to the Port of Spain talks.
