Venezuela\'s finance ministry has ordered the closure of four banks, citing major financial problems.
The government had taken over the management of the financial institutions earlier this month, pointing to irregularities and violations of regulations.
Finance Minister Ali Rodriguez says two of the banks will be permanently closed and their assets auctioned off.
He said the government will try to rehabilitate the other two.
