The opposition St Lucia Labour Party (SLP) is calling for the government to provide the nation with exact details on the state of the economy.
The SLP\'s call follows a statement from Tourism Minister Allen Chastanet that the government may need to borrow money to pay public officers in December.
Last week Mr Chastanet said that the island was barely making enough cash for recurrent expenditure.
The SLP is insisting that such a statement should not be treated lightly.
