Grenada\'s Prime Minister Tillman Thomas has announced the start of an investigation into the lack of an official welcome ceremony for the inaugural flight to Grenada of Canadian airline Sunwing.
The announcement comes in the face of growing criticism being leveled at the Grenada Board of Tourism following last week\'s incident.
The 90 passengers on Sunwing\'s first flight included Grenada\'s Consul General to Canada, Jenny Gumbs and Ramnairine Tiwari, the President & Chief executive Officer of Sunrise International Airways.
Prime Minister Thomas says the government is awaiting a report from the tourist board.
