Xavier Marshall gets second century in JCA Trial Match

Discarded West Indies batsman Xavier Marshall stroked his second century in the third Jamaica four-day Trial Match at Melbourne Oval yesterday.



Marshall scored an unbeaten 101 which included 7 fours and 9 sixes, as Tamar Lambert’s Eleven ended yesterday’s third and penultimate day on 201 for 6, a lead of 144 runs.



Akeem Dewar ended the day as the most successful bowler for Dave Bernard’s Eleven with 3 for 71, while Nkrummer Bonner chipped in with 2 for 26.



Earlier, Bernard’s Eleven resuming on 168 for 3 chasing Lambert’s Eleven first innings total of 427, were bowled out for 283. Shawn Findlay and Odean Brown took 3 wickets apiece.



Danza Hyatt top scored for Bernard’s Eleven with 67, while Donovan Pagon chipped in with 51 and Bernard 50.



Scores in the match so far are Tamar Lambert 427 and 201 for 6, Dave Bernard’s Eleven 283.
