Aussies to watch Kemar Roach in final test
Fast bowler Kemar Roach has caught the attention of Australia Captain, Ricky Ponting who said the rookie pacer will be the one to watch in the final Test in Perth starting next week.
Ponting said Roach will be a handful in Perth because he has been bowling around 150 km per hour.
The 21-year-old Roach impressed for the second successive Test, bowling with sustained pace and accuracy to trouble all the Aussies batsmen.
In the first innings of the just concluded second Test he claimed 3 for 93, including the wicket of Ponting as Australia were limited to 439 in response to West Indies’ 451.
Though he finished without success in the second innings as Australia struggled in their run chase to draw the match, Roach again bowled impressively and proved a handful for the Aussies.
He made his Test debut against Bangladesh earlier this year and has so far captured 17 wickets in 4 Tests.
Australia lead the three-Test series 1-0 going into the final game.
