West Indies, Australia face off in final test

The third and final Test between hosts Australia and West Indies at the WACA Ground in Perth starts tonight Jamaica time at 9:30 with the Caribbean side chasing a series-leveling win.

West Indies will enter the match on a high after outplaying Australia in the drawn second Test in Adelaide. The Aussies won the first Test by an innings in Brisbane.

The two teams have met at the venue in six Tests with West Indies winning five and Australia once.

Although the West Indies have a good record at the venue, former Australia Captain, Steve Waugh said they will find it difficult to win.

Waugh thinks young fast bowler, Kemar Roach is an excellent find, but lack the support in the pace department.

The 21-year-old Roach, who’s sustained pace on relatively flat wickets has already rattled the Aussies batsmen, has been handpicked by several ex-Test players to be a handful on the bouncy WACA strip.

Meanwhile, Australia have drafted in an extra bowler in their squad.

With Paceman Peter Siddle recently hindered by a hamstring strain, Tasmania’s uncapped Brett Geeves was summoned to the squad.

By drafting in Geeves, Australia are looking to revert to an all-pace attack, as they did during the summer against England.
