New Zealand was denied the chance to claim a series victory over Pakistan when today’s final day of the third Test in Napier was cut short by rain.
Daniel Vettori and Tim Southee took 2 wickets a piece, as Pakistan collapsed from their overnight 347 for 4 to 455.
That left New Zealand needing 208 to win and BJ Watling led the charge with a 6, and 9 fours in his 60 off 62 balls, as the Black Caps raced to 90 without loss.
The game ended when drizzle turned into downpour to leave the series tied 1-1.
Final scores in the match are Pakistan 223 and 455, New Zealand 471 and 90 without loss.
