Windies has good record at the WACA Ground

West Indies, who are searching for a series-leveling win against Australia at the WACA Ground in Perth enters the match with a good record at the venue.

The two teams have met at the venue in six Tests with West Indies winning five and Australia once.

They have won three of their last four Tests at the venue, dating back to 1998. Only one of those matches has gone the distance with the other three having finished inside three days, largely due to incisive fast bowling on either side.

Although the West Indies have a good record at the venue, former Australia captain Steve Waugh said they will find it difficult to win.

Waugh thinks young fast bowler Kemar Roach is an excellent find, but lacks the support in the pace department.

The 21-year-old Roach, whose sustained pace on relatively flat wickets has already rattled the Aussies batsmen, has been handpicked by several ex-Test players to be a handful on the bouncy WACA strip.

The Barbadian has consistently clocked a shade over 150 kilometres in the series and has troubled all the Aussies batsmen with his searing pace.
