The interim government in the Turks and Caicos Islands said the territory has reached the internationally agreed standard of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) for the exchange of tax information.
The government said it now expects to move from the OECD\'s grey list to its white list of countries that are complying with the stipulated transparency standards.
TCI Governor, Gordon Wetherell, said with 12 agreements now signed, the Turks and Caicos expects to be recognized as a transparent financial centre.
The territory hopes to sign four more tax information sharing agreements in the New Year.
