Barbadian riding ace Patrick Husbands, fresh from capturing his sixth Woodbine jockeys’ title in Canada, has been booked to ride top US-bred BLACKSTONE STREET in a super clash with the brilliant Jamaica-bred BRUCE ON THE LOOSE in Trinidad and Tobago’s Gold Cup on December 26.
Derby winner BRUCE ON THE LOOSE, undefeated since arriving from Jamaica this summer, and BLACKSTONE STREET are among 13 horses entered for the T&T$500,000 Grade One event over 2,000 metres on the Boxing Day card at Santa Rosa Park.
While Husbands will be flying in from Barbados to mount the impressive Stewards Cup winner BLACKSTONE STREET, BRUCE ON THE LOOSE will be partnered by the Florida-based Venezuelan Wilmer Galviz.
