Another 13 people died in car accidents in Austria, Finland and Germany, where temperatures dropped well below zero.
Meanwhile, air, rail and road transport have been severely disrupted across northern Europe as more snow is expected.
The disruption has come during the busy Christmas holiday season, affecting many people\'s travel plans.
