Colombian governor found dead

Colombian authorities are reporting that the kidnapped governor of southern Caquetá province was found dead earlier today.



Luis Francisco Cuellar was taken from his house in the provincial capital, Florencia, on Monday by gunmen carrying grenades.



Officials say Mr Cuellar was found with his hands bound and his mouth gagged.



He had several bullet wounds to his body and explosives strapped to it.



Officials say Mr Cuellar appeared to have been killed soon after he was taken from his home.
