India beat Sri Lanka to take one-day series

Gauntam Gambhir and Virat Kohli scored centuries to lead hosts India to a 7 wicket victory over Sri Lanka in the fourth One-Day International at Eden Gardens in Calcutta a short while ago.



Gambhir hammered an undefeated 150 off 137 balls and Kohli scored 107 as India set a victory target of 316, ended on 317 for 3 with 11 balls remaining.



Suranga Lakmal was the most successful bowler for Sri Lanka with 2 for 55.



As a result of the victory, India have taken an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-game series.



Earlier, opener Upul Tharanga scored 118 and Kumar Sangakkara 60 to guide Sri Lanka to 315 for 6.



Bowling for India, Zaheer Khan ended with 2 for 49 and Ashish Nehra had 2 for 68.



The final game takes place on Sunday in Delhi.
