JCA to name 13-man squad today
The Jamaica Cricket Association is expected to name the country’s 13-man squad today for the West Indies four-day tournament, which bowls off on January 8.
Jamaica will host the opening round and opens their campaign against the Windward Islands.
Shawn Findlay and Nikita Miller shared 7 wickets as the final practice match between Tamar Lambert’s Eleven and David Bernard Junior’s Eleven ended in a draw yesterday.
Findlay bagged 4 for 19 and Miller supported with 3 for 32 as Bernard Junior’s Eleven dismissed Lambert’s Eleven for 176 in their second innings.
Lambert’s Eleven trailed by 164 runs on first innings going into yesterday’s final day of the three-day match.
Lambert and Andrew Richardson top scored with 38 runs each.
On the penultimate day, Bernard Junior’s Eleven replying to Lambert’s Eleven first innings total of 153 responded with 317 with Shawn Findlay, Carlton Baugh Junior and Danza Hyatt smashing half centuries.
Findlay made 78 from 151 balls, Hyatt 50 and Baugh 54.
