Doctrove is Chronicle’s Sports Personality of the Year

International Cricket Council Elite Panel umpire, Dominican Billy Doctrove has been recognized with a Personality of the Year honour at home for his outstanding performance in the field of cricket umpiring.
Doctrove, currently standing in the second Test between Australia and Pakistan in Australia, has been named by Chronicle newspaper as its 2009 Sports Personality of the Year.
The Chronicle newspaper said Doctrove received the accolade because he has maintained an exceptional average of correct decisions during international matches.
