The 13-man Windward Islands squad, with new captain Darren Sammy, is booked to travel tomorrow to Jamaica for the start of the West Indies Cricket Board Regional four-Day Championship later this week.

The squad has one newcomer in the 20-year-old Dominican batsman, Tyrone Theophille.

St Lucian all-rounder Sammy heads a list of six players in the unit with West Indies experience, including the long-standing captain Rawl Lewis, who gives way to Sammy as team leader.

Others in the squad with West Indies experience are batsmen, Devon Smith and Andre Fletcher and the fast bowlers, Deighton Butler and Nelon Pascal.

Last year, the Windwards enjoyed one of their best seasons, recording 6 wins, 5 losses and 1 draw to place second with 79 points, 27 adrift of runaway champions Jamaica.
